Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to assure you all that the Student Support Staff at Old Saybrook Middle School will continue to be available to you all during these uncertain times. We are working closely with each other and administration to ensure that we can continue to provide services to our students and families.
We will be available via e-mail and our Google Classrooms Monday through Friday from 9-2. We will be posting resources, videos, and activities for both you and your child(ren). These activities are for supplemental purposes and your child(ren) will not be graded on them, however, we highly encourage your child to engage with them. Examples of resources and activities that will become available to your child(ren) may include:
● Mindfulness
● Executive Functioning - time management, developing routines, and planning tasks
● Scavenger Hunts
● Career Exploration
● Extension learning activities
As we go forward with our distance learning model, the Student Support Team will continue to be in touch with families and students. If your child(ren) has not logged into their grade level Support Services Google Classroom, please have them do so. Students will either receive an invitation to join or will be sent the classroom code through Outlook. If you or your child(ren) would like to access one of the support staff directly, please email us directly.
We are all here for you and your child(ren)! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
