School will be in session Monday. It was originally scheduled as a snowflake day, and we used it for a snow day earlier in the winter.
Looking for things to do this summer? Old Saybrook educators are planning experiential mini-courses for enrolled students entering P-12. Last year, classes like Bring the Zoo to You (P/K), Junk Drawer Science (1-4), The Mix Up: Hip Hop, Rock, and Electronica (7-12), and Art Workshops (7-12) offered students a fun opportunity to stay connected with friends while learning new skills. (summer ‘21 video, 5:50) This year, there will be even more choices for kids of all ages. Watch for a course catalog coming the week before April vacation. Popular courses fill up quickly!
Peer Pressure and Masks: The new choice of wearing masks in our schools has been going well with a low level of intervention needed surrounding the issue of peer pressure related to mask-wearing. However, we recognize challenges some parents may be facing navigating through this transition. For some support on this topic, please see attached document on Peer Pressure and Masks.

Internet Safety Presentations for Parents and Students: YaF is hosting an Internet Safety Webinar on Monday, March 14 for parents. Please see the attached flyer to register. The same presenter, Scott Driscoll, will be presenting age-appropriate internet safety/ cyberbullying presentations to each grade level at the middle school on Friday, March 18. Please ask your students about it that afternoon.

Presentaciones de seguridad en Internet para padres y estudiantes: YaF está organizando un seminario web sobre seguridad en Internet el lunes 14 de marzo para padres. Consulte el folleto adjunto para registrarse. El mismo presentador, Scott Driscoll, presentará presentaciones de seguridad en Internet/acoso cibernético apropiadas para la edad en cada nivel de grado en la escuela intermedia el viernes 18 de marzo.
